Old Kent Barn Wedding
Kathryn and Dom were married at the old Kent Barn, near Canterbury in Kent on the 28th May. Set in an idyllic rural location, there are 2 barns on site; a purpose-built 110ft oak framed barn for indoor weddings and receptions and the original ‘Old’ barn for accommodation which was built over 225 years ago. The barns are set in manicured landscaped grounds and surrounded by picturesque Kent countryside making it the perfect backdrop.
Kathryn and her two bridesmaids and mum readied themselves, busying themselves with hair and make up. Dom sent over some wonderful gifts including a message in a bottle. Once Kathryn was in her dress she looked stunning and dad shed a tear on seeing his baby girl for the first time.
Dom and the boys got ready in the old barn and looked very dapper in black tie.
The ceremony was held outside in the gazebo in the 2 ½ acre gardens, with formal parterres, are planted with romantic roses, sweeping curved hedges and an informal lake garden with a lit fountain all set against a backdrop of mature trees. It was a beautiful ceremony, which was sealed with a lingering kiss and the signing of the register to make it truly official.
The guys walked back down the aisle as friends and family showered them in rose petals. Everyone couldn’t wait to congratulate the newly weds and enjoy a glass of bubbly.
After a fab meal made by he amazing team at the Old Kent barn lead by head chef James Crank. We were all entertained with speeches, poor old Dom took a ribbing and even Kathryn got to say a few thank you.
The night was celebrated in fine fashion with sparklers, dancing and more booze.
Here are a few from an amazing wedding and a really wonderful couple.
